It’s my sincere hope this increased level of excitement will continue and lead to more civic engagement. It’s hard to believe not much more than 23,000 people voted in the last mayoral primary – that’s a voter turnout of 10%. Those are disheartening facts. It’s our personal responsibility to make Wichita a better place for our families, which means we all need to vote on August 1st .
